11th Street Project
Brownwood, TX
The 11th Street project started as a live-in flip — and quickly turned into one of our most meaningful transformations. When we purchased the home, it was in rough shape. Years of wear had taken their toll, including old termite damage, sinking pier footers, missing support beams, bowed and sloping original hardwood floors, and a floor plan typical of the early 1900s with small, compartmentalized rooms and no true primary suite. The plumbing system required a full replacement, and aside from recently updated electrical, very little had been improved over the years.
This renovation was truly a rebuild from the inside out. The home received new windows, doors, walls, roofing, siding, and a completely reimagined layout designed for modern living. Every decision was intentional — informed by what we’ve learned from previous projects and our experience operating short-term rentals.
In the end, we loved the finished result so much that we decided to keep the property as a short-term rental rather than sell it. The 11th Street project represents how far we’ve come — a space where function, durability, and thoughtful design all come together. It’s a clear reflection of the lessons learned along the way and one we’re especially proud of.
